Biniam Belay Shimelis


Mr. Biniam has 8 years of experience leading advisory projects for private, non-profit, and public sector agencies, including CVM, Rotary International and Splash International. He has coordinated large, complex irrigation, Water Supply, and Waste Water Treatment (both Industrial and Municipal) projects for Private, Governmental and International Organizations. His functional expertise focuses on initiating, planning, design, construction supervision, contract administration, and monitoring and evaluation of Irrigation, Water Supply, and Waste Water Treatment projects. He is a certified Graduate Engineer and has an International Certificate from Israel. Mr. Biniam is Rotary family fellow, a member of Rotary WASH E-CLUB ( Virtual Rotary Club), and has been served as a president for Rotaract Club Lewet for 2016/17.

Mr. Biniam is an Energetic, Ambitious young Engineer who has developed a mature and responsible approach to any task that undertakes, or situation that presented with. He also has a clear and logical mind with a practical approach to problem-solving and drives seeing over to completion. In addition, he has a great eye for detail, eager to learn and enjoy overcoming challenges. Above all, he has an optimistic outlook on all things in life, possesses an excellent ability to motivate others; coupled with the ability to communicate comfortably at all levels, therefore ensuring an excellent working environment for all members of the team to perform at their best.

He has completed his Master’s in Project Management in St. Mary's University and holds a Bachelor’s degree in Agricultural Engineering and Mechanization from the University of Hawassa and currently studying a Graduate program in Analytics and Systems at the University of Bridgeport, Connecticut, United States of America.
